About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team, based out of our offices in Gowanus, BK. This person will sit at the core of a dedicated project design team, working hand-in-hand with the Project Director, Principals, and client to help support the creative process. As a Project Manager you will excel at managing client expectations and internal team deliverables to deliver great projects. You will have outstanding organizational and communication skills and be able to expertly juggle multiple projects, aware of both the big picture deliverables, and smaller day-to-day items. Success will be defined by your ability to ensure the design team is moving forward efficiently and smartly, producing work on time and within budget.


Your Responsibilities
-Be the ‘right hand’ of the Project Director
-On top of project status, timeline
-Organize all meetings, internal and with the client
-Take notes and minutes and distribute as needed
-Monitoring labor and expenses versus budget
-Monitor day-to-day work of the creative team, ensure efforts are matched to objectives
-Ensure projects are progressing in a timely manner
-Coordinate and contribute to research and design efforts
-Create spreadsheets and documents for estimating, keeping track of deliverables
-Assist in sourcing vendors, communication with vendors
-Contribute to the writing and editing of briefs, proposals and other project documents
-Be aware of the progress of all design work
-Be in constant communication with the design team
-Help organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation
-Keep project management software up to date with any project changes or deliverables
-Occasionally contribute to the realization of internal projects, or events

Required Experience
-An understanding the fundamentals of the design process across (ideally) more than one of: industrial design, product design, graphic design, architecture, UX/UI design
-5+ years’ experience with branding and marketing projects in the design/lifestyle space
-An understanding of project accounting principles
-Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, Dropbox, and other PM software
-A project management qualification is preferred, but not required


Benefits Details
This position is full-time 37.5 hrs/week and includes access to a full slate of benefits (PTO, sick days, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) 4% match, commuter benefits, summer Fridays). We currently work on a hybrid in-office/wfh schedule, and this role would require at least half the week on-site.
